2004-11-23 - 11:06 p.m. Where are you to polish off my beer? It's been a long day and tomorrow will be even longer. C. backed a cargo van into my car making an ugly mark that is going to cost the branch an ugly sum to repair. I think I am pretty fortunate, but no one else seems to think so. J. actually yelled at C. about the accident even though C. will be paying for it by using up his first violation, paying the employee deductible, and since this will affect the bottom line he will receive less on his pay check. It is awful. The cutting board that has been on my dad's counter tops before I was born split a seam. Sad to see it go, and I suppose I know what to get them for Christmas now. I got it into my head that flour held a pumpkin pie together and dumped a whole cupful into the filling, then scooped it into the trash. Although both my pies look awful, one will have to do. My cookie batter sits in the refrigerator because I have had enough of the day already. I will buy something for the women at the front desk instead of baking cookies. My co-workers do not mind the part-time job of taste testing my cookies. In fact, my manager and our visiting staff seem to enjoy the task immensely. I might have made a friend in dance class. It's about time I made a connection at one of my activities. She said the problem with Easterners is that they do not get enough sun. She said it lovingly since her husband is from Mass. The college does not have evening classes in web-design which near broke my heart. I will have to buy a book then this weekend. Most of all, I am tired. So now that my beer is finished I am going to crash and finish packing tomorrow. If only I would not fall in love with the truck they rented me for traversing the icy pass.
