You can check out, but you can never leave.

A certain Dean B, of Hillsdale College, still thinks she can command my attendance to her office. Her secretary sent me an urgent message, with the red exclamation point and everything, to say that I am supposed to make an appointment for the next time I visit Hillsdale.

I am apprehensive about meeting her questions, but what can she say when the program is by the promise of the president himself, overseen by the administrative director, and supported by the head of security? After a cup of tea, I am sure the meeting will be very funny.

But right now a meeting is just an annoyance, like every meeting except two have been. I am not always sure where she stands.

On another note, I wish I had made a point over the bottles of beer.

Bodine and Steve's brother argued that Steve was drinking like a woman. How did the argument go? Something about Steve's drinking being closer to my pattern of drinking, which was nothing at all, and thus like a woman's.

Steve saved himself a few conversations later, by saying I was more man than all of them because I coordinated a shooting team (sort of). His brother told him to speak for himself, but I should have pointed out how this turned the tables in Steve's favor: that if his drinking habit was more like mine, and I was more man than them all (which I do, by the way, completely disagree), then he was second the man of the table.
