If you were to make a movie of my life you would have to shoot the moment of my choosing the bandana. That would take, say, five seconds at most. The next frame would find me sitting in the car with a frown, gingerly pulling the bandana from the bag, pulling down the visor for the courtesy mirror, and waiting as my fingers untied and I tied the bandana 'round my hair pulled back in ponytail. Then, the look at myself: Do my ears remain tucked in, or do they come out? I try that, and I look like an elf. Hmmm.
But later you would see me tying it on with more confidence, bolder movement, and a laugh erupting as I take on a look that has never before represented me. Does it now? Will I fit the look in a few months? Does it matter, so long as I can smile?
